This week has been a lot of fun! Basically it started on Tuesday... my dear friend and coworker, Jamie, had her post elopment wedding shower. I had asked her earlier in the day what she wanted/needed and she couldn't think of anything. So we finally came up with something that her new family (hubby and two stepkids) could do together. So this is what I got her.

Wednesday Matt had two flag-football games. He won the first and lost the second. But they still have a chance to go all the way in the tourney! It's a double elimination set-up so there's hope.

Thursday my Dad came down to Provo, he got into town Sunday night and has been staying in Sandy with my brother Alema, and went with me to watch Kekoa play in his flag-football game. I actually do have video footage from his game, but I can't upload it right now. I will do that hopefully this week sometime. Kekoa scored a touch down. He used his favorite move when he is quarterback. He fakes a pass to his left and runs right. He also grabbed a lot of flags this week. Kalena also had her last soccer game on wednesday at the exact same time as Kekoa's game. Her Aunty Leilani, Tutu Heather, Aunty Summer and Tutu Kawai were all there to cheer her on and to see her get her medal! It was great! I also got a text that my awesome nephew Aidan scored a touchdown in his flag-football game.

Friday we didn't do much... we just chilled at home. It was a nice relaxing evening.

Saturday... well there was general conference. Matt and I got to go watch my nephew, Durrant play football.

The Beetdiggers beat the Riverton Silverwolves 7-6. It was a great game, despite the NASTY weather. The boys were playing in freezing cold rain. And there was a huge, almost lake size puddle on the north east side of the field. After the game Matt and I got to have a date as my kids and my in-laws had all gone to Provo to see Brianna. We went to 001087ecf96fd06bfd6b1370e94b6ce7.jpg.

It was awesome. I ordered there 3 course meal with Potato Skins, a Steak and two of their mini desserts (Chocolate Raspberry and Peanutbutter Cup!). Matt got the Jack Daniels flat iron steak. I order mine medium and Matt orders his rare. Well we usually have issues with Matt's steak. They usually over cook it. Well the ended up over cooking his and under cooking mine so we sent the steaks back and the got perfect ones. Oh my!! I was so stuffed. After that we headed over to Meg and Mario's to wait for the gang to get back from Provo. While we were waiting we watched

I must say that I quite enjoyed it. Well, Matt and his brothers headed off to the Preisthood session of conference and I had all three kids to myself. Actually Lelani and my mother-in-law and father-in-law were home. Errol wasn't feeling so hot or else he would have gone with the boys. Anway, I digress, Lelani and I were trying to find Hairspray at a dollar theater but it hadn't made it to any yet, so I took the kids to
cbd0bd95a641ec86bad5a7bc34b9d4a8.jpg It was the cutest movie. I highly reccomend it to everybody. Not only did I enjoy it, but my kids did too! Now that is a feat! It's hard to find movies that entertain our whole family. Most cartoons are just that, cartoons. However this had some fun stuff in it for adults. And not to mention I love cooking and good food, thanks to my mom, and this was a fun way to see that in a movie.

Oh! Did you notice I said that 'I took the kids to Ratatouille'? Yes! I took all three of my kids to a movie by myself. I know that seems like not much to do, but can I tell you it can be a nightmare. All three of my kiddos did an awesome job of behaving. YEAH!!! I was able to enjoy the movie without too much talking from them.

We came home and ended the night with a bunch of rounds of boxing and golf on my bother in laws wii! It's a lot of fun to see Ka'iwa boxing. She gets her whole little body into it. Poor thing had a side ache after a while. Kekoa kicked most of our okoles (Phonetic pron: Oh-Ko-Lay) (oh, by the way... that's Butt or Hiney or soft flesshy area of your upper leg (when harry met sally) in boxing. Kalea also is a natural at golfing. Again I digress... Hey it's early/late... whatever you want to call it. BIG YAWN!!

Well my dears it's 6:32 am and I am going to try and go back to bed. I got rudely awakend by Ka'iwa kicking me off the hide-a-bed (since we are staying at Mario and Megs), and my husbands LOUD snoring about 2 hours ago. My love to you all! Sassi-Lou

P.S. If you go to my Harrington Family Blog you can check out my brother Alema, with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. And my neice, Teinei, with Carrie Ann Inabe, Judge for Dancing with the Stars. Kind of fun.

Deep thoughts, by Cassi Palmer

422444d322d47f3cf8e05cd17802e2a0.jpg Sorry it has been so long. Not much new, as usual, for me and my brood.

Kekoa is dong really well in Flag Football. He has run for quite a few first downs and has run in for 2 touchdowns now. Kalena is liking soccer. She has scored two goals. Matt's flag football team ended up 8 wins 1 loss going into the tournament. I think it'd be really cool if they took fist place this year. They took second place about 5 years ago. It was a lot of fun. Things at work contine to be a little trying but I think it will work out in the end.

The reason I titled this 'Deep Thoughts' is because I am in the middle of reading 'Kite Runner.' I asked a whole bunch of people for reccomendations for books for my trip with my brother Tau last year. My brother Alema told me about this book. I wanted to read it a year ago when I went to, but instead I ended up reading 'Memoirs of a Geisha'. I LOVED IT and couldn't put it down. 'Kite Runner' on the other hand I have had to put down a couple of times. It is a heart wrenching story, and yet it is so beautiful. I am only half way done and I want to finish it quickly. With kids at home and not much down time at work I don't know how quickly that will come.... This book has made me think of a dear friend who is part Pakistani. It also has made me think about my realtionship with my parents and my children. It makes me wonder what my children will take from me and bring to their own lives in the future. Oh boy! I hope my children take good things not only from me but also from their culture. In 'Kite Runner' you learn about the pride that is in the people of this book. You learn about traditions and things that they take with them through there lives. I have begun to evaluate what I have taken from my parents, peers, friends and children that I hope to incorporate more in my life. One thing I hope to leave on this world in my love an compassion for so many people. I love ya!
