Blah!

These are two of my most favorite pictures from Hawaii. I thought this may be cheery.

Oh how I wish I were there right now. I am back at work and I have gone through the first 3 weeks of school. I must say that the first week and a half were really scary. I am only supposed to have around 15 kids MAX in my unit. By the end of the first week I had something like 20 kids. We are in a single wide trailor in the back of our school and our class room is just over a third of the trailer. The other part is another class room and a maintenence closet. So we were CRAMPED. Add to that two tracker (me and my partner) a teacher and atleast one possible two more trackers for 4 of our students that were in a particular program. These four students had to have their program staff with them at all times. So that ends up being potentially 25 people in a tiny class room YUCK!!!!We were able to pair it down and now three weeks later I am down to 13 students. That can change at any given moment also. Part of the joys of my job! GRRRR!!! I was really excited to be back at school. I missed my kids. I have a new batch and a whole new set of adventures that I'm sure are to follow. I must say I am a little frusterated, though. I am having some issues with certain situations. I don't want to get too much into it because I'm sure things will work out, but it's really hard to be the heavy I've decided. Actually, I like that part of my job, sometimes, but it's getting old and fast right now. I must say that I am greateful for the life experiences I have had. I know that my stint in Life-Line have helped me a ton doing this job. I know that this is a great fit for me, but I need to learn how to adjust. ** Side Note** I have to say Matt has been really good at listening to me vent when I am done with school. I usually call him on the drive home in the afternoon and unload. He is very good to just let me go. THANK YOU HONEY!!

On a better note:

My cousin Kimmie came up not this past saturday, but the one before. She and her husband Jeff were here to drop of their second son, Hauns, at the MTC. It was so awesome to see her. We went for a long time where we didn't get to see each other and then I've seen her twice in the last year in a half. Pretty awesome. I know that Hauns will make and awesome missionary. He is heading to the Taiwan, Taipei mission. Kimmie's oldest son, Josh, is in the Phillipenes. I hope that my son will grow up to be like his cousins and I hope that I can grow up to be a mom like my cousin Kimmie. She's so cool!

Kekoa has started flag football. They are the Tigers. Matt is the assistant coach for his team. He doesn't like it a whole ton, but then he didn't really like soccer his first season either. It's kind of sad because we only have 7 on our team and all the other teams around us have atleast 10. So our little guys get really tired during the games and they don't get any subs. We haven't had a steller season either, but it'll come.

Kalena is doing soccer for her second season. She loves it and she's on a great team, the Cougars. The coach is a dad is our ward and he's really good with the kids. There are two other kids that are in our ward and another little girl that was in our ward so it's a lot of fun to be playing with friends. her record is a little better. They have a little girl on their team that is our ringer. She can play!!

Matt is also in another season of flag football. (Can we say WE ARE BUSY!!) It's really crazy! I told his teammate (Keyyan) that they need a new name for their team next year. This year and last they were KeyBank, because two of the guys on the team work for KeyBank. However, next year they need to be called the Old Men. I think 75% of their team is over 30. Not that 30 is old, it's just that we are in Provo, and the majority of those who play City Rec football are BYU or UVSC students so the age group is a little younger. Matt's doing well and he's keeping his temper really well this year. I made him promise that he wouldn't get out of control. I told him now that Kekoa is playing football, he needs to be a good example of sportsmanship to him. He really has done well.

Kaiwa is dying to go play any sport, poor thing, she's too young. She will be able to play Soccer in the Spring, since she will turn 4 in February. I feel so bad that she has to wait, but then I am glad becuase I know she is going to be a bruiser on the field.

Me, not much, just work and shuttling all of my kids (Matt included) around to all of their games, etc. I haven't really wanted to get back into volleyball, but I really should. Like the title of my blog, I just feel kind of BLAH! I think it's because I am so busy and I want to do things for myself, but I don't feel like I have the time or energy. Not to mention Matt is still working on his MBA. We will be done in March (Hallelujah!). I say we because I have put just as much time and energy into this as he has. I think once he's done I'll have a little more time to myself. I know it is all worth it. He really did well his last class. I was so proud of him. He got an A- even with having to do tons of homework while we were in Hawaii. Matt did take me out for a fun date to the Art City Trolley and that was nice. If anybody out there has any tips on getting more organized and how to get up at 5 in the morning to work out, please let me know.

Well, enough of my blah. I've done enough bellyaching. Love you all tons! C

We Are A Happy Family

As part of our glorious trip to Hawaii, we helped Matt's brothers and sister throw a party for his parents 40th wedding anniversary and Kawai's 60th birthday. It was a suprise to Kawai and it went off very well. I must say that getting ready for this party took a lot of our vacation time, but it all worked out. One of the hardest thing was finding matching outfits for everyone. Oh my heck! I remember a time when you could go to the swap meet and buy matching outfits for Mom, Dad, and Kids NO PROBLEM. Honestly it took us probably 3 hours to find these matching outfits. It was crazy, but I think it turned out pretty nice. I'll add some more pics of Hawaii later, I have to crop them before I post. But here are a few fun ones.

It is finished (Possible Harry Potter Spoiler)

I must admit that my dear husband is fabulous, because he hasn't even read #6 and he let me discuss #7 with him as I finished last night. Actually Matt wanted to know if his hunches on certain characters were correct. Most of them were, so it was fun. He let me spill almost everything. I must say I was a little dissapointed. I enjoyed the book. I liked the ending, but I could have used 100 pages less in the middle and could have taken 25 pages more at the end. I wish the last chapter had been "fleshed out" (as one of my old english teachers used to say) a little more. I guess I felt it was a little anti-climatic. I am glad that things ended the way they did, but I am sad that this is the end. I quite enjoyed having Harry Potter to look forward to. I found great escape in Hogwarts and Privet Drive and the Burrow. Now they are said and done. I usually am one to read books over and over, but for some reason after having finished the book, I feel as though I am done not to return to Harry. My dear friend Kayelynn did a fun personality test. I was so wanting to be like Tonks also, but this is who I came out as. I let you know latter what I thought of this description. Your Score: Ginny WeasleyYou scored 45% Maturity, 63% Goodness, and 48% Abilities! Ginny's pretty awesome. As she's gotten older she's shown herself to be quite sly and charismatic. You're still pretty young and you've got a lot to learn, but your ability to boldface lie is amazing. And you seem to have a habit of dating your older brother's friends
