Summer is almost here!!
Hallelluja!!! I have 8 days left and then I am out for Summer Vacation! I am so excited. Not much is going on here with us. Matt is still in school. I am still loving Independence High School (and looking forward to summer). The kids are getting bigger. Here are some recent pics of the kids. I promise that I will write a more subsantial entry soon. (I got called out by my friend Kayelynn about my lack of posts) Please check out my Harrington Family Blog. That is something big happening for my brothers. (Hint Hint check KJZZ out on the 19th!!) I'm sure that I will have lots of pictures to share in the next week. My dad is coming into town to spend some time with the kids.

Happy Birthday!
O.K. I know it's been two weeks since my b-day but my theory is that since my b-day is the first day of the month, then the whole month is my b-day month. I must give a shout out to all of you who called and wished me a happy b-day. I am really bad at getting back to people and saying thank you so hereit is... THANK YOU!! You made my day. Truley, I think this was one of the best birthdays I could ever have. I went to school and a dear friend and collegue bought me lunch. Matt sent me flowers and my kids at school sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. Then after school Matt and I went to the temple and then Ottavio's for dinner. Yum! I had a great day. (I will post pictures of my flowers later. I have to get them off of my phone.)
Well, not only is it my b-day month, but it is also Matt's and my neice Teinei's. Teinei's is on the 11th. Ah! I can't believe that she is allready 15. I feel so old. I remember coming up here to Utah, from Hawaii, to see this cute little girl. (That was another memorable birthday, I turned 12, got to enter Young Womens AND I got a neice to boot! And I got to miss school to come see her.) As you know I love to knit. I don't really have a TON of time to do it, but I have fun. I am always looking at patterns I can do. However here's my thing, I don't really like making things for myself. I love to picture who could benefit from this fun activity that I do. Mostly I look for patterns for my kids and my DH or my friends, but I needed a present for Teinei this time. Intitially I wanted to make Mikado Ribbon Fingerless Gloves. for her. However, I am a slacker and just couldn't get around to it. Well then I decided to make Twitterpated for her.
I think it is really cute. Teinei had told me earlier that she liked bright colors, mostly greens and blues. Well I didn't end up using greens and blues on the outside, but I did on the inside. I made this primarily at work. My students were pretty impressed. And a couple of the girls in my class liked it so much that they asked me to teach them how to make it. As you can see I didn't buy a handle, I knitted it. And like my BFF Kara did for her Twitterpated, I added I cords to make it close better. I think it turned out pretty cool. If Teinei ends up not wanting it I might claim it for myself. Well, now I must say that I am racking my brain over and over again as to how to modify it and make twitterpated more mine. I have all of these different variations that I want to make and give to other people as gifts.
Oh! P.S. Here are are pictures of Ka'iwa's b-day cake. I think it turned out pretty good.
ONE MORE PPS!!!
For those of you we haven't called yet and those we have called a reminder: MATT and & CASSI's BIRTHDAY BASH!!! March 24th, around 6 ish to whenver everybody passes out! bring a dish and your grub on! And be ready to JAM!!

I am in an Ugly Betty phase
I must admit that I LOVE Ugly Betty. I think it's an awesome show. I love Selma Hayek and I think Ugly Betty is so much fun. I have decided to emulate Betty in a way. No! Not her totally chic wordrobe or her fun job. I want to be confident when I open my mouth. However....
I have had a nagging problem for the last few years. I am not so happy with my smile. When I was in high school I had a killer smile. I had no problem looking at pictures and saying my teeth looked good. Just recently I have notcied something though, my left front tooth has been migrating. It's been moving up and over my front right tooth. AUGH!! I know I didn't wear braces for almost 2 years to have crooked teeth. Well, we just finished paying off Matt's braces and so I said it was my turn to get my teeth taken care of. So last week I had my consultation with Matt's Orthodontist, Dr. Brian Trapnell. He is really great and he said I don't need much, just a little tweaking. So Here is the tweaking.
When I went in for my consultation I was praying that all I would have to have done was a new retainer. Since I was so bad at wearing my retainer the first time I had braces. However Not only has my front tooth migrated but my teeth have begun to "flare." JOY! So it's braces for the next 6-9 months and then a retainer again. This time I WILL WEAR MY RETAINER. This time, though, I will say that they are a lot more attractive, being that I got clear braces this time.
Here is the kicker... it took them 3 times to put the brackets on. The darn little buggers kept popping off of my teeth. They had to literally sandblast my teeth to rough them up a bit. I had such hard enamel that the glue would not stick. Literally my teeth were too slippery. It was such a FUN experience. However I will say that I really am not in that much pain.... 5 hrs later. YEAH!!! I have eaten and am chewing gum with no problem. Oh yeah, instead of saying THOU SHALT NOT CHEW GUM WITH BRACES ON, my orthodontist said CHEW CHEW CHEW AWAY! It helps cut down on the pain and aids in helping the teeth move. Crazy huh? I still have to stay away from caramels and stuf like that, but I don't have to give up my gum. Not that any rule stopped me last time.
So that's what's new with me. New teeth, hopefully new body by the time my teeth are done and life is good. Other then that I'm not asking for much. My kids are AWESOME and have a FABULOUS husbund, I have everything I want.
P.S. I asked Matt the other day if we should ask Dr. Trapnell a criticle question: Has he ever had people lock braces? This will be an interesting adventure with both me and Matt having braces on at the same time.
